For as long as I could remember, I've had a passion for justice, anarchy and beauty. To me, they're all beautifully interconnected. Growing up wasn't just hard for me, it was down right painful. I was never accepted but always brutally berated and discarded. But I never backed down. I always found my voice to stand up for myself and what was right. That instilled in me the desire to fight for everyone that ever felt like nothing. To fight for the people the world didn't think mattered. I started my journey to where I'm at now as a teenager. At 16 I started living on my own. As a teenage girl, I became well too aware of how the world takes advantage of those who are vulnerable. So, I started diving into beauty. I would use makeup as a way to feel, and portray, strength. It was my armour for many years, and then it became my passion. A passion to give safe spaces to people to feel the freedom to create and feel loved. Now I stand before you as a criminal defense attorney in the state of California and the owner of Royalty Cosmetics. I hope together we can grow strong in the conviction to be uniquely ourselves, always use our voices and never back down. With the utmost humility and gratitude, I thank you for being here today.
